THE FOUNDER

After studying chemistry in Munich and earning his doctorate, he was working as a research associate in the group of Nobel Prize winner Prof. G. A. Olah at the USC in Los Angeles . Afterwards, Roland Knieler drove the development of modern wound products at Beiersdorf AG.

This was followed by various positions at BODE Chemie GmbH, including Head of Product Development and subsequently Director of Research/Development. He then became Director of Marketing/Sales, and finally served as sole Managing Director for almost five years.

Roland Knieler was involved in the Industry and Research Committee of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and as a long-standing board member of the Industrial Association for Hygiene and Surface Protection (IHO). The issue of "women in leadership positions" has always been one of his concerns:

For the exemplary implementation of "Mixed Leadership", BODE Chemie GmbH, which he leads, was awarded the Helga Stödter Prize in 2012.

In 2015, he founded Knieler & Team GmbH.
